Assembling the Wheels and the Chassis

Now that the wheels and the chassis are completed one needs to assemble the wheels on the eight axis around the chassis. A simple hole of the same diameter of the axis is drilled in each axle. The axles are then placed without glueing them first, this is done in order to be sure they are all correctly placed and aligned. A small mark is then put on each axle to recognize the position of each axle.

Once I know exactly how to place all the axles and I make sure that all eight wheels can roll correctly, the eight axles are then installed using superglue. It is however very important to place the wheel with the correct pattern of the spokes, note the symetry of the spoke pattern from the X and the Y axis of the lunokhod. To know the correct pattern of the spoke you have to report to figure 2 of the chassis section.
