SPACE SHUTTLE LAUNCH PAD
For building the space shuttle launch pad, I made use of photographs found
in various books related to the history of manned spaceflight. Since Launch
Pad 39A was primarily used for the Apollo flights to the Moon, photographs
of the launch taken during this era were also very useful.
Here I have reproduced an arial photograph of the Launch Pad found in
the book "the illustrated hustory of NASA, anniversary edition" by Robin
Kerrod (Prion ed.). I bought this book a few years ago almost exclusively
for this photograph which was very helpful to me.
