Having completed in January 2000 a 1/48 model of the Mercury/Redstone launcher I realized, having seen other models either on the web or with my own eyes
(I' ve had the chance to see David Weeks 1/48 redstone recently, it is an incredible work), that the escape tower rods were far too thick (the espace tower was
scratch built). I have then decided to redo the tower using the right diameter for the rods. I have reused the escape rocket itself which had the right dimension.
